The Law Offices of Ralph Schindler
The Law Offices of Ralph J. Schindler, Jr. is located in downtown Chicago directly across the street from the Dirksen Federal Courthouse. Mr. Schindler began his legal career in 1974 as a clerk for Justice John J. Sullivan in the Illinois Appellate Court. In 1976, he passed the CPA exam and began work in the tax department as a tax attorney with Peat Marwick, Mitchell & Co., a major Chicago public accounting firm, now known as KPMG. There he worked in the banking group dealing with taxation of banks, formation of bank holding companies, mergers and acquisitions of banking institutions and related taxation issues.
Some eight years later, he left to join a privately held family business, and managed the business and family affairs until the death of the owner and spouse. He continues to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of the not-for-profit entity created upon their death.

Mr. Schindler was formerly associated with John J. Kennelly & Associates, one of the most prominent personal injury firms in Chicago.
In 1994, Mr. Schindler formed his own firm. The firm has a diversified practice as further described herein. He is a member of the Federal Trial Bar and a panel attorney for the Federal Defender Program. He has represented various clients in Federal District Court, Bankruptcy Court, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and Illinois trial and appellate courts. He has written various articles for various legal publications.
